OUR CLASSES
Chen Style Tai Chi
Chen Tai Chi for health classes emphasize the art’s unique spiraling “silk reeling” movements to improve joint mobility and internal energy flow. These sessions balance slow, meditative sequences with gentle weight shifts that build significant core strength and leg stability. While focusing on the health aspects, the classes teach students how to cultivate “Peng Jin” (internal buoyancy) to relieve physical tension and enhance overall vitality. It is an excellent choice for those seeking a more physically engaging yet therapeutic practice.
Qigong (Chi Kung)
Qigong classes focus on the cultivation of vital energy through a combination of gentle movement, controlled breathing, and focused intention. These sessions typically involve repetitive, low-impact exercises designed to clear energy blockages, strengthen the immune system, and calm the nervous system. Participants learn to synchronize breath with motion to achieve a state of “meditation in movememt,” promoting deep relaxation and internal healing. These classes are highly accessible and serve as an excellent foundation for overall longevity and stress management.
Yang Style Tai Chi
Yang Tai Chi for health classes focus on slow, rhythmic movements and deep breathing to promote physical and mental harmony. These sessions emphasize low-impact exercises that improve balance, coordination, and leg strength while gently lubricating the joints. Participants often experience reduced stress and improved circulation through the style’s signature “soft” and continuous flowing forms. These classes are highly inclusive, offering a meditative environment suitable for all ages and physical conditions.

- Stress Relief: Combines deep breathing with movement to reduce anxiety.
- Heart Health: Helps lower blood pressure and improves circulation.

I started with the Parkers Piece group a few months ago and was amazed how much stronger I have become in such a short period. Hong's teaching is kind and insightful. In his calm way he pushes the mind and body to the limits. I find Tai Chi challenging and calming at the same time. I practice it now everyday.Posted on Google Kerstin HackerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Really enjoy these Tai Chi classes. After 16 months of maternity leave, I decided it was time to look after myself again. I had been feeling stressed, out of balance, and disconnected from my own body. I joined Sifu Hong’s Tai Chi classes for health reasons, hoping to realign my mind, body, and soul—and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. In only four lessons, I began to feel the chi and a gentle flow of energy moving through me. Sifu Hong is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and clear in his teaching. He explains the purpose behind each movement and takes the time to guide you through the practice with genuine care. Each session leaves me feeling lighter, more focused, happier, and mentally stronger. Tai Chi is truly transforming my life, and I’m deeply grateful for the wisdom and guidance Sifu Hong shares in every class. I highly recommend Sifu Hong’s Tai Chi lessons to anyone seeking balance, well-being, and a supportive teacher.Posted on Google Paul LewisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
